The Gallop Extension is an 8-hectare addition to the Singapore Botanic

The two new features at the Singapore Botanic Gardens’ Gallop Extension, which are open, are the Mingxin Foundation Rambler’s Ridge(a ridge-top hiking trail) and OCBC Arboretum (housing 2,000 specimens of over 200 species of dipterocarps – trees that can grow up to 80 m tall).
The opening hours of the Gallop Extension will follow the operating hours of the Singapore Botanic Gardens – from 5 am to 11:59 pm daily. Access to unlit areas is restricted from 7 pm onwards.
The nearest MRT station is Botanic Gardens MRT station. Visitors can take a 20-minute walk to the entrance of the Gallop extension along Tyersall Road.
The nearest bus stop is before Tyersall Avenue (Bus stop ID 13029, service nos.: 7, 7B, 75, 77, 105, 106, 123, 174) .
Visitors within the Singapore Botanic Gardens may walk towards the Learning Forest, and cross Tyersall Avenue to get to the Gallop Extension.
Parking is available at the carparl along Tyersall Avenue. (Visitors visiting Gallop extension prior to 28 October 2019 are to park at the carpark at Learning Forest via Tyersall gate as the carpark at Gallop will be closed until 27 October 2019)
